Aggregate Demand

Greece Consumer Spending (unit - EUR Million) for the Last 10 Years
Greece Business Confidence (unit - points) for the Last 10 Years

Greece Government Spending (unit - EUR Million) for the Last 10 Years
Greece Balance of Trade (unit - EUR Million) for the Last 10 Years

Looking at these charts we can see that Greece's consumer spending and government spending have decreased over the past 10 years while their business confidence and balance of trade have increased. Both government and consumer spending seem to be slowing increasing in the past few years which is very similar to what real GDP is doing as well. Looking at these indicators, it seems as though aggregate demand has decreased over the past 10 years in Greece.

There seems to be a relationship between real GDP and aggregate demand; when aggregate demand decreases so does real GDP.
